Instructions

Rinse a rocks glass with Absinthe and discard alcohol.

In a mixing glass, muddle the sugar cube, cold water, and both bitters.

Add the cognac and rye, top with some ice, and stir.

Strain the drink into the prepared glass and twist the lemon peel over the surface of the drink to release its oils.

Garnish with the lemon peel and serve.
